SCOPE supports LGBTQ+ youth ages 10 to 21. We know that mental health outcomes improve when LGBTQ+ youth feel loved and accepted for their sexual and gender identity. The Rainbow Café is a safe, welcoming, and affirming space for LGBTQ+ youth and their allies. We have two groups: Rainbow Café Youth for individuals 16 to 21 years, and Rainbow Café, Jr. for kids 10 to 15 years.

According to the Trevor Project (2021), LGBTQ+ youth experience more depressive symptoms relative to their cisgender and heterosexual counterparts. This is mainly due to discrimination at home, among peers, and in the greater community.

Join us in supporting the LGBTQ+ youth of Socorro! If you are an LGBTQ+ high school student or ally, attend our monthly meetings on the second Sunday of every month at 3:00 pm. If you are the parent or guardian of an LGBTQ+ youth, join us for our monthly meeting every third Sunday.
